In the remote village of Nyariga in northern Ghana, we collaborate with a women's cooperative that creates beautiful handwoven baskets. A weaving house is currently being built for this group of women: a place where they can work together, share knowledge, and earn a stable income.

A shared workspace makes a big difference. It provides the women with a safe and practical place to weave, store materials, and better organize their work.

The building is already standing, but to actually use the weaving house, several important steps still need to be taken: a roof, a floor, and doors.

The total cost to complete this project is €6,000. Every contribution – large or small – helps to achieve this goal and make this workspace a reality.

With your support, the women of Nyariga will get a place where they can work together on their future and build a sustainable income for their families.

In het noorden van Ghana is het project met Evans en zijn FairTrade weefcoöperatie succesvol afgerond.

Met de aanhangscooter is het transport van stro en manden sterk verbeterd. De vrouwen besparen nu op dure taxi’s, waardoor hun inkomen direct stijgt. Het werkproces is efficiënter en beter georganiseerd.

De jonge ondernemer Evans (22 jaar) versterkt zo het inkomen van meer dan 200 vrouwen en hun families in Ghana.

There was a lot of waste at our producers' workplace. There were bins available, but they were of poor quality and often had no bottom. As a result, they did not function well and the working environment became increasingly polluted.

Therefore, new bins have been placed in the workplace, so that all waste can be disposed of in them. This initiative has been received with great joy and the workplaces now look a lot tidier!
